  12. hey guys I’ve edited some of his translation coz I wasn’t able to get used to some formats applied and so on… so here’s the chapter (sorry if I do something wrong.. and didn’t completely edited it I just added and change some words)

    Konjiki no Wordmaster 178 … featuring Hiiro.

    I finished this chapter in one day – as I only started today. Yesterday was … stressful. I left my home at 7am, coming back at 8pm, and afterwards I just fell into my bed and slept.

    178th episode – I consider you a friend

    ((TL: title could also mean “the companions mind(s)” – as it isn’t a whole sentence I’m not sure…))

    “Well, this rounds fight is over. Nya, I’ll go home.”(Chibi usagi) ((TL:instead of “round” she says level, but I changed it.))

    Thus, without saying a word to the loser Shublarz, she went away.

    “Fufu, Indeed~, even if she looks like a little girl in a researcher’s clothes, she truly behaves like a natural-born warrior. I’m surprised~”(Shublarz)

    Shublarz shrugged her shoulders as she watched Rarashik walking away.

    ?”Well then, we should also go. I have the intention to report to Her Majesty~?”(shublarz)

    As they had completely lost, Shublarz’ facial expression gets cloudy as she thinks of meeting her face to face.

    “Oh, ple-please wait a minute!”(Muir)

    Muir calls out to Shublarz and co. who were attempting to leave.

    “Is there something else?”(Shublarz)
    “Ah, that’s….. thingss of Io-chan……What I wanted to say…….”(Muir)
    “Eh? Eonis?” (Shublarz)

    In response to Muir’s words, Shublarz turns her line of sight towards Ionis.

    “Oh, so she could be cured. Well…… is it possible that you’re the boss of that child?”(Arnold)

    Arnold also joined the conversation.

    “Eh, ehh, you’re right, but is something up~?”(shublarz)

    Arnold told her that Hiiro could heal Ionis’ burn marks.

    “Eh? Hiiro-kun can also cure old scars?” (Shublarz)

    As Shublarz had seen the cure of demon lord Eveam she knew that he could use something similar to healing magic, but she thought that he was just was able to close wounds that is currently received.

    So as for wounds received in the past, commonly referred to as lifetime scars or similar injuries, she thought that there wouldn’t be any effect.

    “Well….. I think he’ll probably able to pull it off? In practice, we’ll know whether he can do it when he tells us about it.”(arnold)
    “….oh, I already listened to Her Majesty, but you guys seem to be extremely confident in his abilities as well.”(shublarz)

    Her eyes glittered as she got the feeling that she found something particular interesting.

    “Y-you might say so. His nature aside, I trust his strength, or rather, I believe in it…..”(Arnonold)

    As he says so, Arnolds face gets slightly cramped. Certainly Hiiro’s power, he experienced already. so it’s naturally had to be given credit……. but he’s still an existence outside of every standards.

    “Fufufu, but I wonder if he really is able to heal Ionis~?”(Shublarz)
    “I can’t say it for sure, but – “(arnold)
    “Hey.”(????)
    “Mh? Owaaaa~! Hiiroooooooooo~!?”(Arnold)

    Arnolds surprise wasn’t unreasonable. After all, he was here, the mentioned Hiiro guy.

    “W-w-why did you appear so suddenly?!”(arnold)
    “Huh? And I even came because I heard you guys calling?”(Hiro)
    “Mh? I feel…….”(arnold)

    Thereupon Arnold’s eyes met with Silva standing behind Hiiro and smiling faintly, and as he understood the intention –

    “Oh, yes! So that’s it! I actually have a favor to ask of you!”(arnolf)
    “A request? At this place and such a time?”(hiro)

    Hiiro is doubtingly staring at Arnold, having fold his arms.

    “H-hey!”(Muir)

    Thus, Muir came to call out to him.

    “Nh? What’s up, chibi? May this be related to you by any means?”(Hiiro)
    “Eh, ah, that……. ” (Muir)

    As Hiiro’s eyes met her, she suddenly blushed a little and looked down without reason. And then she bashfully raised her head as she suddenly made up her mind –

    “P-please cure Eo-chan’s face!”(Muir)
    “……….huh?”(Hiiro)

    As he didn’t know anyone called Io-chan, Hiiro scowled. As he asks for more information and listens to the story he learns about her wish to have the burn marks carved into both eyes of Ionis healed.

    “I see, that’s why I’ve been called.”(Hiro)
    “S-so….. will you heal her?”(Muir)
    “Even though there is no obligation for me to do it?”(Hiro)

    As she thought, the answer she received was just as she had expected again, and she leaked an involuntary sigh.

    “Hey Hiiro, couldn’t you act out of mercy and without equal compensation once in a while….”(arnold)
    “Shut up half-dead, you know I’m not that kind of person.?”(Hiiro) ((Lib.))

    Ignoring Arnold’s shouts, Hiiro stared at Muir.

    “Oi Chibi, I thought the Yo-yo over there is your enemy?”(Eonis)
    “Eh? Yo-yo?”(Muir)

    It wasn’t just Muir, but Ionis was also puzzled as she was called Yo-yo. And thus, although he thought of it as troublesome, Hiiro taught them about how he knew the «Phantom» as a toy called Yo-yo and how gave her the nickname accordingly.

    “Yo-yo……?”(Eonis)

    Ionis made a small mutter as she stared at the «Phantom» in her hands.

    “Well, let’s leave the toy story apart. Answer me, Chibi, wasn’t that person your enemy?”(Hiro)
    “Oh, yes…… however, now she is my friend.”(Muir)
    “Muir…….”(Eonis)

    Ionis was expressionless, but nevertheless deeply moved. Quietly she murmured Muir’s name.

    (Friends…..huh.)(Eonis)

    As usual she thought this fellow was naive. But looking at her face she understood that it was said with true feelings. Clear eyes without a single trace of lies or falsehoods were looking at her.

    Without change, Hiiro’s face turned toward Ionis. As he steadily looked at her face, she became shy, hiding her eyes while touching her hair.

    “Fu~un, there is nothing you have to worry about.” (Hiiro)
    “……Eh?” (Eonis)

    Those words, said in such a casual way by Hiiro, truly grabbed Ionis’ heart.

    “Well, just don’t mind such things as that girl.” ((or woman. Both legit))

    Turning his face away from Ionis, he once again looked in Muir’s direction.

    “As there is no dept nor personal interest, you want me to help her just because she’s a friend?”(Hiro)
    “Yes!”(Muir)

    While looking at her with strong eyes, he lightly sighs and scratches his head. And then, crossing his arms again –

    “However, even if I’m a guy who won’t move unless there is a personal interest or a dept of gratitude, isn’t it just natural and understandable?”(Hiro)
    “Eh, oh, yes…..”(Muir)

    As she found the normal negotiations impossible, she turned to Arnold to try and find help, as –

    “If that’s the case for now, you’ll have to prepare a delicious meal for me.”(Hiiro)
    “……huh?”(Muir)

    Upon hearing Hiiro’s words she stood there with an opened mouth.

    “I’ve heard it from Blue Ribbon, but I thought the old man has thought you how to cook?”(Hiro)
    “Y-yes.”(Muir)
    “If that’s the case, make something that satisfies me. That’s the price.”(Hiro)

    Muir was taken aback at first, but as her face gradually loosened –

    “Ye-yes! I’ll do my best to serve you!”(Muir)

    Thus she replied and made a big smile.

    “Whoa Muir….. will your service be something different……?”(Arnold) ((TL:Heck no!!))

    Arnold’s murmured meddlesome comment was heard by nobody. Thus her delightful smile was aimed at Hiiro, and he even thought it was the law of the nature for a second, but decided to keep this one-shot a secret.

    (……….)

    “If you’d hurry up now.”(Hiro)

    Magic was concentrated in Hiiro’s fingertips. As tremendous magical power was focused, Shublarz and her companions felt it and watched him closely.

    Then he wrote the letters “Restoration”, approaching Ionis. ((??))

    “Ah……”(Eonis)

    Ionis became somewhat afraid and started to back away. But as she touched her shoulder, Muir spoke with a gentle voice.

    “It’s alright. Believe in Hiiro-san.”(Muir)
    “Muir…….”(Eonis)

    But Ionis was still somehow uneasy, as she hated to turn her burned face towards Hiiro, and slightly hung her head in shame.

    Hiiro saw it and faintly sighed –

    (Sign….)

    “Hey Yo-yo, come and lend me a hand.”(Hiro)
    “Eh? Oh…….”(Eonis)

    She didn’t acknowledge the voice coming out of her mouth and thus was surprised as Hiiro grabbed her hand. Even as he was the hero of her country, she felt embarrassed as it was the first time for her hand to be grabbed by a man.

    “Don’t be so nervous.”(Hiiro)

    Even though Hiiro told her to calm down, her heartbeat fastened. Then, she felt something burning inside of her. ((Lib.))

    “Ah…….”(Eonis)

    Maybe it was due to fighting under cold weather, but she felt a certain warmth in her cold hands spreading throughout her whole body.

    “……..it’s warm……..”(Eonis)

    Closing her mound, she unintentionally made a sound. She became aware that the fear she felt until a moment ago had disappeared completely.

    Now she felt as if it was a sunny day in springtime. And she came to understand that it was thanks to Hiiro’s magic flowing through his hands into hers.

    (Why? Why is this person’s magic that warm…… and so very pleasant……..)(Eonis) ((TL: Dammit Hiiro, you did it again.))

    She wasn’t aware that she had unconsciously raised her face, closing her eyes and tasting the pleasant mood.

    And then she felt something touching her forehead. Thereupon her body became hot. Especially the touched area near her eyebrows…… both of her eyes felt a great heat.

    But the heat wasn’t a bad one. Gradually the cold was taken from the body, warming her. Accordingly, the area around both of her eyes gradually lost their heat.

    She didn’t know how much time had passed. It could be a minute, but miraculously she got the sensation that it was like an hour.

    And then the words reached her ears.

    “I’ts finished.”(Hiro)

    She slowly opened her eyes.

    Can’t wait for 180 ^-^

    179th Episode – Hiiro, stand!

    The first thing Ionis saw as she opened her eyes was Hiiro’s blunt expression. Then Muir clapped on her shoulder, producing a ‘pop’.

    “Un, Io-chan is sooooo cute!”(Muir)

    A delightful smiling face was directed at her.

    “Take this.”(Silva)

    Thereupon, as one would expect from a butler, Silva gave Ionis a hand mirror.

    “Take a look, Io-chan!” (Muir)

    Even as Muir told her thus, she still was trembling in uneasiness as she hadn’t confirmed the outcome yet. But when she looked at the people standing around, everyone gave her nods of affirmation and smiled.

    Then Ionis cleared her throat and slowly lifted the mirror into the front of her face.

    And there ………………………………………… there was not a single stain on her baby-like skin reflected on the mirror.

    In an instant, a large amount of tears flowed out of Ionis’ eyes. Muir tightly hugged her,

    “Un-un, It’s good…… It’s good, Io-chan.”(muir)
    “Higu….. gusu……. Ueeeeeeeeeeeeen!” (eonis) ((crying sounds.))

    Everyone but Hiiro was looking at the two of them with pleasure.

    After she finished sobbing, she became silent, hanging her head in shame of the embarrassment of defenseless crying.

    “Thank you, Hiiro-kun.”(Shublarz)

    Suddenly he got a voice of gratitude from Shublarz.

    “I just did the request. If you want to thank someone, talk to the Chibi that requested me.”(hiro)

    Looking at the disappointed Hiiro’s attitude, Shublarz shrugs her shoulders with a smile.

    “Of course I am grateful to that child, but still, let me say it. I thank you.”(shublarz)

    Normally her smile was voluptuous, always attracting the men around her, but this time, her smile was naturally and innocent. One could see with one glance that she truly was grateful.

    “H-he truly is our hero! I-i truly was deeply moved!”(Herbreed)

    For some reason Herbreed’s stared at them with sparkling eyes as he remembered his excitement over Hiiro’s actions. There couldn’t be done anything done against it in such a situation, but Hiiro felt that no matter how much time passed, he’d never grew accustomed to it.

    As his back became itchy, he started to move in order to get away from here…

    huh??……. (ED: sound that he noticed something’s wrong)

    He felt that his clothes were being pulled. As he looked there was Ionis, standing with her head hanging down, slightly pulling his clothes with index finger and thumb.

    “What’s the matter?”(Hiiro)

    But she didn’t speak. After he waited for a while, Ionis faintly raised her face. One could clearly see that her cheeks were bright red.

    “.ank you…….” (Eonis) ((or “…gato…” as in arigato))
    “Huh?”(Hiiro)

    Ionis chewed on her lower lip, then she suddenly gulped. She slowly opened her mouth.

    “Tha……. Thank you!”(Eonis)

    It seems she just wanted to thank him.

    (…..why does it take her this amount of time just to say ‘thank you’?)(Hiiro)

    It was truly incomprehensible. ((Yeah, as if.)) It wasn’t that bad to be told ‘thank you’, so he didn’t plan to investigate it any further.

    Apart from that, seeing her being that desperate to thank him somehow piqued his interest and his face loosened.

    “Don’t worry about it.”(Hiiro)

    Bou!(SFX)

    Misunderstanding Hiiro smiling at her, Ionis said
    “be……careful…….”(Eonis)
    and turned hot.

    “Oh dear…” (Shublarz)

    Shublarz pleasantly smiled as she saw her getting completely embarrassed. And then Hiiro looked at Muir.

    “It seems like she suffered extremely harsh damage in her past.”(Hiiro)
    “Uhmm….. well, thanks a lot!”(Muir) ((the “uhm” – eto – is cut into two parts originally…))
    “Why are you thanking me?”(Hiro)
    “B-because you cured Io-chan for me.”(muir)
    “If that’s the case you better respond with a delicious meal.”(hiro)
    “Y-yes!”(Muir)

    Looking at her face one could clearly see that Muir was still happy about her friend’s restoration.

    “As for you, Old Man, I’m afraid to say that you might have won this round but will lose the game in the end.”(Hiiro)
    “W-well! That’s your fault!”(Arnold) ((Lib. ?))

    Arnold also still wanted to take complete victory, but he felt the weight of Herbreed’s and Ionis’ loss as a result suddenly awakening inside of him.

    “But well……”(Hiiro)

    He looks at Muir and Arnold, then focused onto Muir.

    “As I’ve said before, the Chibi seems to have become stronger.”(Hiiro)

    Chokon…… (SFX)

    He lightly poked her forehead wearing a smile and Muir got shy. ((changed colon to full stop))

    “Ehehe…….”(Muir)

    And yet she was laughing while joyfully touching her forehead. Looking at her smiling face, Arnold made a sullen displeasured face. ((Lolicon. And doting father.))

    “Such words coming from Hiiro…”(Arnold)
    “What?”(Hiiro)
    “Won’t you also participate? When the heck are you going to start?”(arnold)

    Muir was also interested in that topic and motionlessly stared at him.

    “Aah, about that matter.”(Hiiro)

    The two of them focused on Hiiro’s mouth.

    As she frantically gave off her own feelings of worry, Muir’s heart became warm. ((the author wrote Mimir’s heart became warm, but as it is Mimir who is worried…. and you can easily mix them up))

    “Arnold-san as well, please let your body rest by all means.”(Mimir)
    ?Thanks a lot, Mimir-sama.?(Arno)

    Then Rarashik approached together with Leowald.

    “I’ve seen something interesting, did that youngster do something?”(Rara)

    As Arnold explained it to Rarashik, Leowald, who stood nearby, growled in admire.

    ‘Hmm, so he can also do such a thing. Hiiro is really a surprising fellow.” (Leowald)
    “Haha, that guy is certainly a force full of mystery.”(Arnold)

    Certainly Kukklia couldn’t see his abilities by constantly looking at the delicate figure of Hiiro, but that couldn’t be helped.

    Two of them shortly nodded.

    “Alright, see you later! Come back after you grabbed the ?Gabranths victory with your very own hands!”(Leo)

    180th Episode – How to insta-kill

    “Oh? They already arrived?”(Silva) (Anon: stahp the question marks!)
    Standing next to Hiiro, Silva announced the ?Gabranth?s team for the third fight.

    “…….gross.”(Hiiro) ((He says ? – and it’s an exclamation of surprised disappointment)

    Hiiro involuntarily groaned as he saw the opponent, because one of them directly stared at him with passion.

    (Wait a minute, it’s that Nyanko-bastard again.)(Hiiro)

    The opponent was Crouch. As she raised the corners of her mouth to a grin, her expression gave him the shivers.

    “Ah? You were also coming?”(Hiiro)

    And as they saw the ?Evila? arriving, even Silva was petrified with an”eh?”.

    Because obviously the two who appeared to match the numbers were two common soldiers. The «Three Beast Warriors» furthermore didn’t even know their names or faces.

    Especially Barid was clearly emitting blood-thirst towards Hiiro.

    “What does this mean, youngster?'(barid)
    “what is it?”(Hiiro)
    “Don’t play dumb. Those two aren’t either army captains nor «Cruel», are they?”

    After seeing those two soldiers being completely restless, a blue vein appeared on his forehead.

    “No matter how I look they’re just normal soldiers. Doesn’t the demon lord understand that the fate of her race is at stake here?”(Barid)
    “Of course she does.”(Hiiro)
    “Don’t make fun of me! This one match defines your future! If you lose it’s our third win and it’s over for you! And you dare to bring two soldiers to such an important match!”(barid)

    As he felt like being made of a fool, or being underestimated, he angrily raised his voice as his face got completely red.

    It seemed as if Hiiro was saying that even soldiers were sufficient as partners as long as he was fighting. Being in a team with powerful guys was a pain in the ass, so he proposed putting quiet soldiers in his team.

    But Hiiro wanted soldiers no matter what. He said he wouldn’t participate otherwise. The Demon Lord Eveam could only reluctantly nod to his word afterwards.

    “so you mean that you can win against the three of us just with those two cowardly soldiers in your team?”(Barid)

    After Barid and Putis spoke Crouch opened her mouth, and Hiiro opened his eyes a little as he heard her words.

    “Nyahaha…… I wanted to meet you nya……”(Crouch)
    “But I didn’t want to meet you. And my name is Hiiro. Tarou was an alias.”(hiro)

    Thus she started crying, rubbing her watery eyes with her hands.

    “This is it nya! My full name is Crouch and I only turned into this form because a cool adult man can increase my presence nyaaaaa!”(Crouch)
    Seeing the little girl beginning to speak even though he didn’t ask for an explanation, Hiiro let out a sigh.

    “Why do nyou nyave nyo little nyinterest nyaaaaaaa!?”(crouch)((Itisn1t: her way of speaking pisses me off -.-))

    Both her arms and legs felt as if they were bound to the shadow and wouldn’t even flinch. Hiiro dispelled the effect of ?Gravity? and slowly walked to Crouch’s side.

    “that’s the first one.”(Hiiro)

    Barid and Putis stared at him. After Crouch had her movements restrained this easily, the wariness of both of them increased to the maximum.

    “Don’t lower your guard Putis! That boy really is a threat!”(barid)
    “got it.”(putis)

    Then Hiiro used ‘Luminescence’, creating a light strong enough to blind everyone in the vicinity. ??

    In an instant, both of them jumped back at the same time to distance themselves, but at the moment Putis landed she felt a shocking sensation of discomfort at her foot.

    “I cannot move?”(Putis)

    Barid’s face stiffened as he wagered the moment to attack Hiiro, but..

    Suddenly his head was grabbed from behind.

    “Wh-when did you…… no, more importantly…….”(Barid)

    Barid looked down, and Hiiro was definitely standing down there. Of course he would be curious about who was behind him. However –

    “With you that’s three down.”(Hiiro)

    Hiiro’s voice entered his ears from behind. Then Barid made a startled expression, power started to escape his body, his consciousness sinking into darkness.

    What Hiiro did was actually something pretty simple. Hiiro, who was thinking of defeating each of them individually started by defeating Crouch, who knew of his power. (Anon: lib.)

    That’s why he used ‘Gravity’ at the moment she came towards him, stopping her movements first. Because she was the only opponent who could use shadows, he thought she would try entering them to escape.

    Thus while she was in the middle of entering them, he would use ‘Restraint’ to stop her movements completely. Then next, he used ‘Luminescence’ to distract them. But then for Putis, Hiiro was thought to only have used ?Adhesion?, but in truth he did one more thing.

    To be honest, this had to be executed quickly. Because, even if ‘Restraint’ and ‘Adhesion’ were used, if they used «Conversion» and cut their arms and legs, they could release their bodies.

  17. can i just say one thing- n00b….please don’t stop. hopefully u will give the cold shoulder to any fucking ungrateful readers. i mean this is such a wonderful WN (never enjoyed anything else more) and there was this one time where chapters were reeling in like crazy but afterwards so many translators had left. please stay on this, like HONEST PLEASE!!

        … checked it, and mine is better and I have already translated more of the chapter. Slightly feeling like the seal or the bear on 9gag … but I guess it can’t be helped?
        If he was any better, I would just hand it over, but as it’s like this … I’m no good with working together at the same chapter with someone, and if we cooperated, I’d have to check every chapter he did, people = annoying.
